The Ultimate Chili Dog

It’s chili season, but why not ditch the bowl and celebrate with a heaping dollop of your favorite chili atop a delicious Nathan’s hot dog and bun? Smothered in classic chili, cheese and yummy toppings like chopped onions, the original “Coney Dog” is the ultimate chili experience.

  • Chili sauce

  • Cheese sauce

  • Optional: sliced jalapeño peppers, diced red or white onions, mustard


Step 1

Cook your hot dogs your favorite way. We suggest pan-fried with butter! See how to cook the perfect hot dog.

Step 2

Heat chili and cheese sauce according to package directions.

Step 3

Assemble your dog! Nestle dog into the bun, then pour a generous helping of chili over the top. Smother with cheese sauce (or heap a handful of shredded cheese over all).

Finish with any extra toppings you’d like: drizzle with yellow mustard and add white onions for a classic Midwest favorite, or top with jalapeños and red onions for a tasty Tex-Mex zing.
